Tropical!

This bride went with tropical, fun colors: oranges, blues, purples. Very happy!
The flower girl wore a halo or blue orchids.

 A giant arrangement for the garden at Belle Meade Plantation. I LOVE putting these together, even if it is in the scorching heat on a ladder (the urn is about 5 feet tall).

Style Shoot, Belle Meade Plantation

I was able to be part of a style shoot done at Belle Meade Plantation on 8/20/13.

We went with a classic gold and white/ivory pallette on a king's table in the stable area. It was really beautiful!

Pinks and Oranges!

Kristen was such a pleasure to work with, and her color palette was right up my alley. Pinks and oranges are my very favorite colors! She and her now husband were high school sweethearts, as is the case with me and my husband, so that made doing her flowers all that more special.

The urn in the garden at Belle Meade Plantation is a behemoth! It take a lot of flowers to balance out the proportions, but this arrangement turned out so great. I love it. 

The garden arrangement was reused for the reception, a great way to get the most out of your budget.

Winter Whites

In February I did a really gorgeous winter wedding in white at Scarritt Bennett and Belle Meade Plantation. The whole event was coordinated wonderfully by Meredith Zeller of Bridal Blueprints. If you need a planner, go with her, she is amazing and her attention to detail really makes for a flawless event.

(And again, I do flowers, not photography. These are just my pictures, taken last-minute; I CAN'T WAIT to see the professional pics!)

The bridesmaid's bouquets. White hydrangea, Polo roses, white anemones with black centers, dendrobium orchids and accented with silvered seeded eucalyptus.

The bride went with four separate centerpieces for the reception.
Here's the floral centerpiece. Similar in composition to the bridesmaid's bouquets.

Super fun ostrich feather centerpiece. The Bride's bouquet was cuffed with ostrich feathers. And I somehow didn't get a picture of her bouquet.

Tall white branches with crystal garland made up another centerpiece, and ties back to the altar display at the ceremony. The height of this was about four - five feet - really good for venues that have tall ceilings, like the Carriage House!

Don't have a picture of this one lit up, but one of the shorter centerpieces was a collection of cylinder vases with floating candles. The tallest cylinder was filled with dendrobium orchids (behind the table number).

Totally Luxe Garden Texture

I am fairly certain this wedding has become one of my favorites. The textures in the bouquets just takes my breath away! This design had rich roses, hydrangea, viburnum, rosemary, lavender, lamb's ear, anemones and seeded eucalyptus.

The grounds were stunning in May, lush green everywhere. I love those rounded hedges in the background. The bride chose flowers that really went with the Plantation's look and feel.

I have to say, Gray Photography was a joy to work with. They worked really hard, even on a hot day, and the photos are just lovely, I can't say it enough.

And now, back to my regular photos. The bride's bouquet. Gardeny, rich, soft, spectacular.
The bridesmaids carried rich bouquets in green and white. I cannot tell you HOW MUCH I love these textures.
The altar arrangements did double duty. Not only did they flank the altar area of the ceremony, one was placed at the table assignments, the other on the buffet line. A great way to enjoy your flowers all night long!

Arrangements in the Carriage House were comprised of wheatgrass, flowers and lit twigs. They added a really nice ambiance to the evening.
