I am a huge fan of this wedding. Rich, dark burgundy up against pale pinks with lots of texture! This bouquet was so amazing, the flowers were the best quality, and I enjoyed every second I had putting it together as well as building the rest of the wedding. A complete joy. The bride and her family were so wonderful to work with as well.

Sweet, pastel pinks, peaches and oranges
The bride chose a sweet spring color combo of white/ivory, peach (gotta love Juliet garden roses), oranges, pinks and yellow.
Her mother hand-tatted the sorority handkerchief she included in her bouquet.
The bridesmaids were a little brighter to set them apart from the bride.
Mothers wore a cluster of ivory spray roses with ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus and lambs ear.
Grandmothers corsages.

Easter Beauties
Mere Bulles Restaurant in Brentwood had me put together two large arrangements to decorate for Easter. They wanted lots of fun Spring colors. And I just loved the pussy willow branches! I grew up going into the woods behind my house with my brothers looking for pussy willow branches to bring to my mom every Spring.
Silks for Mere Bulles Restaurant
I recently created silk arrangements for Mere Bulles Restaurant in Maryland Farms. It was a challenge to design multiple arrangements that a lot of people see every day, would look good in all seasons, and also retain the character of the home in which they would sit. The restaurant is an old plantation home with a traditional historic feel, so real contemporary or minimalist-modern arrangements would look completely out of place.
These two arrangements flank that beautiful gilded mirror above the large fireplace in the living room.
I don't remember seeing the painting before I picked the flowers for this arrangement, but I really must have. How could that be chance that I coordinated with that gorgeous oil painting?
I think this is my favorite arrangement of the bunch, an asymmetrical arrangement of roses, lotus pods and orchids for the upstairs fireplace.
And I apologize for the poor picture quality. You can just see the arrangement I made for the old TV cubby above the bar. It really is a lovely composition of peaches, pinks and ivory. I was trying to get pictures of everything during business hours with customers and employees here and there.

Dinner Party - Published!
I teamed up with some friends, Jessi of Jessi's Kitchen, and Lillie of Redeeming Love Photography, for a wonderful dinner party and photo shoot. I've always wanted to do flowers like this for a dinner party, just never had the chance. I loved making the garland, picking out just the right shades of pink flowers, and putting it all together. And to top off how great it went, and the beautiful images, the photo shoot was published on Cottage Hill's website!
I could not be more pleased. Here are a few images from the dinner party.

Lovely Peonies, Garden Roses and Hydrangea
Classic, romantic peonies, garden roses and hydrangeas. Love the color combo the bride chose: pale green, pale blue, peach and soft pink. Really lush and lovely. The bride stayed with ivory and pale pink while the bridesmaids carried more color. The altar area and table centerpieces incorporated the blue hydrangeas.
Cradle Ceremony
Got to
do something little different in June: a cradle ceremony. The mom chose bright yellows and fuschia pinks for this amazing party at her house.

Pinks and Oranges!
Kristen was such a pleasure to work with, and her color palette was right up my alley. Pinks and oranges are my very favorite colors! She and her now husband were high school sweethearts, as is the case with me and my husband, so that made doing her flowers all that more special.
The urn in the garden at Belle Meade Plantation is a behemoth! It take a lot of flowers to balance out the proportions, but this arrangement turned out so great. I love it.
The garden arrangement was reused for the reception, a great way to get the most out of your budget.
I just love this "first look" picture.
Ah, sisters.

Summer Jewel Tones
The sweetest girl at church got married last summer and I had the honor of doing her flowers. Her bouquet was ivories and yellows, the rest of the flowers were comprised of lovely jewel tones. (Photos courtesy of Andrea Watkins)
